Hi!

neither do I. I use wicd instead, and if you are like raster and don't like
trays, you can use wicd-curses ;)

It's been a while, but I had this same hard and I managed to get E17 fully
functional. I could even use dual screen with xrandr. Have you tried
easy_e17 script?

I suggest you to nuke your install dir again, but this time, do a 'make
distclean' instead of 'make uninstall', then check E's wiki for are the
pre-requisits (maybe you are missing a dev lib and you didn't noticed?) and
finally, try easy_e17 script.

I know that hard works,so you shouldn't have any issues

BTW, I'm thinking...wuold it be possible to have 'exchange' to host knowing
working hardware? something like what was done with the new screenshot
module which allow any user to upload an image, users could upload their
working hardware for newer users to have as reference (users with mobile
phones, embeeded hard, etc)
