Hi,

Tried gnome-terminal, even before I started using Konsole, did not like it
at all, and it has the same problem as Konsole, my main reason for finally
dumping it - too many dependancies.

As an example :

emerge -p konsole

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

[ebuild N ] app-dicts/aspell-en-0.51.1
[ebuild U ] dev-libs/libxml2-2.6.26 [2.6.23] USE="-test%"
[ebuild N ] dev-libs/libgpg-error-1.0-r1 USE="nls"

[ebuild N ] kde-base/konsole-3.5.2-r1 USE="arts -debug -kdeenablefinal

not tooo bad, takes only a day to compile.....

emerge -p gnome-terminal

errrm, maybe wait around a 2 to 4 days, depending on how busy my processor
is with other tasks...

and finally eterm:

emerge -p eterm

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild N ] x11-libs/libast-0.7 USE="imlib mmx pcre"
[ebuild N ] x11-terms/eterm-0.9.3-r4 USE="mmx -escreen -etwin -unicode"

way less than an hour....

and most of all, eterm is fast fast fast, and used in conjuntion with
screen, tabbed (plus more).

I try to run as minimalistic as possible, so kde and gnome is out, mostly
keyboard shortcuts, mouse only when needed.
