I am using the following settings in my .conkyrc double_buffer yes own_window yes own_window_transparent yes alignment top_left # If own_window is yes, these window manager hints may be used own_window_hints undecorated,below,sticky,skip_taskbar,skip_pager If I change to another desktop/background, the conky background matches the new background at the next update. I am using conky 1.4.1, and current cvs version of e16, but I have used conky for a long while, and it has always worked for me.
