Whatever it was, now i have it. Im no expert into this, but can it have 
negative impacts of running an additional ./configure after succesful 
completion of autogen.sh (which already involves a ./configure) when 
building from CVS? That is the only difference to before i think.

e17 compiles just fine now. When i'm done i have a look at the stable 
series, as they are in my distro of choice (mandriva) but very outdated.
And then i have to check back for sure as i didn't manage to get 
Entrance working last time correctly. We'll see ...
