Rox does not run in a console and certainly does not need to be run as
root. You can start rox IN a console, but the better way would be to just
use the run command.

You're using the wrong command anyway. rox -p=l creates a pinboard with the
name l. What I think you meant to do was rox b | t | l | r Default or
`name' which would place a panel on the bottom, top, left or right.
Remember though, that Rox's panel cannot be transparent and will overwrite
the part of the screen it's on. That said, it works fine. The pinboard, if
you use it will completely overlay the e screen, but it works fine.
