I am trying to build E17 from the CVS, but when compiling Ecore I get
the following message:

Any idea as to what may be the problem? I have installed the
libxrender-dev and libxrender1 debian packages, but they provide
/usr/lib/libXrender.a, not .la. Should I install anything else?
