Every theme has got a font settings. For example, under the
/usr/X11R6/share/e16/themes/winter
directory, there exists
1. fonts.cfg
2. ttfonts directory
You can change fonts by these.
Isn't there any way of configuring the fonts without
changing specific themes? Something like specifying
the menu font to be used instead of the font from the
theme. It would be a font configuration that would
override the one from the theme. Something like
~/.e16/e_config.bindings for mouse/key bindings.
For themes that have been changed to use fonts.cfg, i.e. at least winter
which comes with e16 and the "core" themes BlueSteel,
BrushedMetal-Tigert, Ganymede, and ShinyMetal, it is possible to copy
one of the theme fonts.cfg to ~/.e16/fonts.cfg and change it as you like.
If it uses TT fonts not available with the current theme you'll have to
add the font path as in e.g.
$ eesh set theme.ttfont_path /usr/share/fonts/bitstream-vera[:...]
