Hi,

So, I have e17 running on my laptop under Solaris nv_28 as well. And it
looks great. Except I want to change the desktop background...

First, none of the backgrounds on get_e.org have permissions set for
downloading. Much of the site seems to be locked away, and it keeps
going very slow on me, too. =O(

Secondly, I've built everything from the snapshots on
enlightenment.freedesktop.org, following Ben's porting suggestions from
cuddletech.com. And that got me a working e17, and I'm happy. But the
only e17utils code I can get is from CVS, and it appears to be a lot
newer than the snapshots. My main problem seems to be that it requires
Ewl and engrave now, yes? So I grabbed Ewl from freedesktop - which was
probably the problem, but I thought that would get me a closer match -
and that won't compile because it can't find a bunch of functions
starting evas_object_textblock_*...

So, instead of banging my head against a wall - is there a utils package
that goes with these snapshots, or do I need to fetch everything from
CVS and then do some messing to get around the configure generation
issues?

Ben? Anyone?

Many thanks for any advice,
