Yes i know. Raster just checked in code to do shading so these things are a bit further down the road. Anyway. My requests: 1) Some way to change all your themes when you change your E17-theme. When i change a theme i want it to change for all my applications. Like for engage (icon-theme or whatever), gtk, ewl, entice etc etc. I'm not sure how you would do this. Maybe some global signal that all e-apps will listen to that contains the name of the theme. The app would then of course check if there are any skin/theme that matches for example "winter" and change ackordingly. Then maybe a hack or two for gtk, qt and other potentially important non-E programs that are skinned. Maybe you could store the themes in /usr/share/themes like gnome does so that a meta-theme could contain both a E17-theme and a metacity-theme. Oh well. What i want is pretty much covered by now :)
2) XComposite support when it is fast enough. I guess this is something that is planned. XComposite probably won't be 40 times slower than imlib2 forever (http://xorg.freedesktop.org/wiki/X11R68ScreenShots point 2 under caveats). So basically, when it is fast enough could we see E17 with shadows on other windows (not just the background) and true transperancy? True transparency is probably something i'd only want for engage and Eterm anyway but real shadows is nice. Thanks for all the work you put in this. I've been following enlightenment and its development since the days of efm and many times thought that E17 wouldn't be released in my lifetime. But now its pretty exciting with the wm being in cvs and all.
