Well, that shows how long it's been since I tried it.  But I switched to
gnome-terminal when ETerm (a) didn't have tabs, and (b) was enough of a
pain to compile and install on Solaris that I didn't do it often
anyway.  Gnome-terminal had tabs and went translucent, and quite
honestly, that was enough for me.

It's there already.  That's a big advantage on non-Linux platforms - and
some Linux platforms now, too.  And it scrolls just fine thanks.
