all these occur from 16.6 to 16.7 cvs upgrade (as of 3/25/2004). configs upgraded from switch to cvs, not remade.
a) a "0" shows up in the task switch menu. doesn't occur all the time. changing themes seems to have removed this. is this the pager?
Yes, that is the pager. It should not appear in the list unless
explicitly requested ("Toggle Skip Window Lists"), or you have settings
inherited from an older E version.b) when any of the menus are opened, the close button doesn't close it, only a click on the root desktop will.
Yes. The only window operation that makes sense on menu borders is "close". Many themes don't have a close button. In connection with other changes I disabled menu border ops altogether. It is kludgy to reintroduce this feature, so I would prefer not to. But I can see it feels wrong to have a menu close button that doesn't do anything...
c) xmms doesn't seem to be updated within the pager, (hi res, continuous scan, no zoom). but will be show when virtual desktop is on the same as xmms
??? It is impossible for specific windows not to be updated in the pager, but updating can only occur if the window is on-screen.
d) does the "regenerate menus" destroy my custmom menu? is there any way to generate backgrounds, new menus, etc without restarting?
It should only overwrite stuff in menus_GNOME, menus_KDE, menus_Other, and epplets.menu. When regenerated, the new menus are reloaded without restarting.
Eh, I think I may have broken something here, will have a look at it.e) when restarted, all the windows, or some seem to be thrown around, hidden, etc. is this normal?
