Hi,

Well, I know you said you did not want an approach that used .xinitrc

What I do, is create (and chmod +x) ~/.Xclients
In that file, I put the commands I want to be executed, such as: (simple example)


xterm &
xclock &
exec enlightenment

Doesn't help. What I need is to run xscreensaver automatically. I've followed
instructions from xscreensaver manpage, but to no avail. I am using gdm, but
I've tried instructions for both gdm and xdm, just in case. But alas, nothing,
nada, nil, nought... :/
