Hi,

I was just wondering if there's any chance we'll see the outstanding
bug(s) with focus fixed before 0.16.6 final?

Not likely.

When E is used with sloppy focus, and I use the mouse to move off the
edge of one virtual desktop, the focus often fails to follow. This
happens most often with Mozilla - mousing to a new desktop, moving the
mouse over a Mozilla window, then hitting Ctrl-T to open a new tab can
happily open tabs in an offscreen Mozilla window. Sometimes, clicking on
the window that's supposed to be active cures it, but it sometimes get
into a state where it will accept mouse clicks on GUI buttons, but will
refuse to highlight text in the location bar, and refuse to produce a
cursor in the location bar.

Thanks for the detailed bug report, I wasn't aware of that variant.

I've read various conflicting accounts about these in the past,
including at least one account that said the problem was so deeply
buried in E as to be unfixable. Is that the case, or it there some hope
that this might be fixable? If not, I'll live with it, but it would be
really nice to have a fix.

I'm not a great believer in "unfixable" bugs, but it is likely that it will take some testing to make sure that fixing something in one place doesn't mess up something else. There are quite a lot of configuration options in E.
I do intend to have a look at the focus bugs some day :-)
