Hello all, I am new to this list but have been using E and Linux before, but the relationship to Gnome (and probably KDE ?) was a bit confusing especially during my first experiences wiht Linux. I have a better understanding now about Window managers but far from complete. As I now have a free PC available I would like to use that PC to start working in and learning more about Enlightenment. No Gnome (or KDE) on that PC. Is that possible ? I plan to use Slackware 9.1 and just E as Window Manager. Programs/applications I would like to use are the X, OpenOffice suite, Evolution, Blender, Screem, Amaya, the Gimp and Wine to name the most important. I wonder if I would need to install any Gnome or KDE libraries (that's an option during the slackware install process) ? I also wonder if the E17 CVS files and associated applications can be installed next to a working E16 environment ? Any feedback is much appreciated, as it will shorten the time to get that PC working and configured as I would like to see it. Thanks, Marc
