Yair Zaslavsky has posted comments on this change. Change subject: engine: Support for gluster asynchronous tasks(WIP) ......................................................................
Patch Set 3: Rebased by mistake, sorry. Gilad - The current Async Task Manager is a an engine "frontend" to a VDSM component of managing tasks. It has nothing to do with gluster tasks - Gluster has its own task management mechanism, and it wad decided that VDSM will expose relevant gluster commands for that (AFAIK, there is some functionality that VDSM does not have like suspend task). In addition, Gluster commands do not need to spawn to several child commands, so the entire mechanism of "child commands" running tasks, and these tasks coordinate the completion of the parent task is redundant. If you object, I suggest you open a thread on engine-devel or arch.
