Patch Set 1: OK thanks for your responses. There is no need to build this jar. This is how Intellij stores it's settings (Think of it as a tarball) and it contains different xmls that represent different settings. In this patch I included ONLY code style stuff. If you use this and change a setting and do File -> export settings you will be able to see the changed files. Please check the patch out and jar -xf and inspect it. Again this will be easier code style integration with idea now and other possibilities in the future.
