Also those would miss the signatures for official releases. So if you change the compression of the release tar balls (change the AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE option in configure.ac) you also need to change the release scripts like config/upload-release.sh And you still need bzip2 for the tests. The testsuite contains more than 300 .bz2 files. Cheers, Mark
