--- Comment #2 from Sergio Durigan Junior <sergiodj at sergiodj dot net> --- I can't speak on their behalf, but I would guess that they already have an existing PostgreSQL (e.g.) deployment that's well integrated into their infrastructure, and they don't want to have to manage yet another database "deployment" (even though debuginfod is pretty low maintenance). For Ubuntu specifically, I remember that the database was growing quite large due to the various Linux kernel builds they do, and I had to contact IT and ask for more storage a couple of times.
