Filing this RFE here just so I have a public recording of this request.
I talked to Frank a while ago about the possibility of supporting other
database backends, not only sqlite. This was a request from Canonical's IT
department back when I was deploying the service for Ubuntu, and is now a
request from Debian's DSA team. Having support for e.g. a PostgreSQL database
would make the service easier to integrate with existing infrastructure, and
would reduce the maintainability burden in some scenarios.
I understand that debuginfod was conceived with sqlite in mind and is now
tightly coupled to it, so I am not expecting a magic solution to appear. If
there is anything I can help with, please let me know.
