At work, we replaced all the welding cable
(lots of fine strands) with very stiff wire made
up of fewer thicker wires.
I was told the welding cable would not give
a reliable crimp....
48 volt hundreds of amp stuff...

You need the correct size die that crimps on all sides,
along with enough force to crush the wire.

I just soldered my connectors, I never liked crimps,
especially unprofessional ones....
