Try clicking on the link then, when the video starts, click on the button in the lower left with two vertical "pause" lines. Now click on "download" over on the right. That will transfer the file to your computer.
If you've been trying different things, you might have downloaded the file to your hard disk without realizing it (I did that on the first one!). You can check by starting the Google Player by itself (in Windows, click on ALL PROGRAMS/GOOGLE VIDEO/GOOGLE PLAYER). When the player loads, click on File/Open. If you've downloaded the file it'll appear in the popup window that opens. Also, I had some trouble at first because I apparently had an outdated version of the viewer. I clicked on the link that opens on the left to "download viewer" and let it install the latest.
