Good Evening,

Thunder started about 2 AM; it is rare around here.  A cold front moved through with rain, wind, and lightning.  The power stayed on but I unplugged all of my antennas.  Normally thunderstorms stay in the Columbia River valley and move around me.  This one was closer.  I need to remember to hook up the antennas again.

Hummingbirds have left my area, but I can watch some interesting species here: https://www.allaboutbirds.org/cams/panama-hummingbird-feeders/ For the last few days there have been more species passing through.  Some of them are pretty large.

The sun was very active this week.  A CME should hit some time tomorrow.  There are fewer spots at the moment.  Early in the week the sun was full of them.  4207 may send us another flare or two before it passes over the limb.  If it were not so foggy I may see some aurora.  As it is the fog is slowing my web connection to a crawl; the top of the mountain is in the clouds.
