Good Evening,

A few days of sunshine, with temperatures into the low 70s, made the forest much greener.  The intervening cool, rainy days helped too.  The ferns are about eight feet tall, just beginning to unroll.  A wave of new birds are adding their calls to the day.  Salmon berries are starting to turn orange.  Wild strawberries are blooming.

The sun has been active this week, sending us ions in a variety of ways.  We are awaiting the CME aimed directly at us from sunspot 4100.  It will cause a severe geomagnetic storm sometime on June 1st.  You never know what will happen nor when. You may or may not be able to hear me.  I may hear a wall of noise and little else.  However, that is why we run these nets: to report propagation each week.
