well, i used to do all of that but i found i didn't need it. (yamaha
4416S, toast 4, os 8.6) now i run the check speed for literally 10
seconds and then go for the write, and skip the verification as well.
that keeps the time down. if you are concerned about the CD you can
alway s verify with Norton, which takes less time to do so than
toast.
i have had CDs fail verification but then it turns out that it is a
directory structure problem, which still makes them usable. don't
throw it out just cos it fails verification! bob
