YES, you are correct on the euro plug...that way apple can send the proper
plug to whatever country you are in...very clever of them!
OK...I finally opened up the duo 2300c, and low and behold, anticipating all
sorts of strange transferring of hard drives, ram, modem, etc, all that was
unplugged was the built in monitor screen. somehow in transporting this
unit, it got unplugged, which seems rather strange to me, but that was all
that was wrong.
I should have opened up this unit first, but I'm always cautious about that.
My only real NOTE to anyone who needs to open up a 2300c, this is VERY VERY
IMPORTANT....you MUST disconnect the ribbon cables FIRST, which are just
underneath the keyboard, you MUST do this BEFORE you pull apart the top cover
to get to the hard drive!
IF you do NOT, you will do what I have done 3 times, reluctantly! You will
RIPPED the ribbon cable in TWO, which then means you have to track down a
replacement ribbon cable which is NOT easy, and can be expensive!
Just a word of caution....and thank you EVERYONE for giving me such GREAT and
valuable feedback on this laptop!
Especially to those who wrote me off list!
MUCH appreciated!
Alan
