Yes, most likely it's not a format directly understood by DSpace. What system do the files originate from? What's in the subdirectories (e.g. 02731177)? Feel free to attach an example item (again, e.g. the 02731177 subdirectory), otherwise there's not enough information to tell what it is that you have there.
