Hi;

I've gotten some regression with the r300 driver with my Radeon x800 XL
while playing UT2004 (at 1920x1200). Several newer versions of Mesa/DRI
seem to have problems rendering some (not all) textured polygons; there
is grid-like small rectangular corruption, rectangles always
monitor-aligned (not dependent on view angles). Fiddling with UT
graphics settings seems to have no effect. Doesn't seem to be a
stability issue as such; the game is playable.

The problem is evident on Mesa/DRI 6.5.2 as shipped in Ubuntu Feisty and
6.5.1 as shipped in Ubuntu Edgy, and if I didn't screw up with git too
much, I tried the master and mesa_7_0_branches, where it also persisted.

The problem does _not_ exist on Mesa/DRI 6.4.1 as shipped in Ubuntu
Dapper. Using the libGL.so and r300_dri.so from that package (via
setting LIBGL_DRIVERS_PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH), I get no interference
(though some features such as fog are lacking, as expected). This is
workaround enough for me now, however the problem seems to persist
through many versions so I thought it best to report it...

Is there a particular git branch I should try, is this a known issue, is
there something to do about it, and is some debugging information called
for? Thanks.
