Sure, up to you guys if you want to use this. Personally I would make a shell script shipped with renouveau called something like "renouveau-helper" which runs renouveau, and then packages up the output into a tarball and uploads it to where-ever the dumps go now. :-) Either way I'm not fussed about the patch, it just makes my life a little easier...
