There were some issues with the AGP interaction in the MGA DRM
introduced last August.  I believe that I fixed them around the
beginning of November.  I'm not sure if all of those changes found their
way into 2.6.14.  Is there anything "interesting" in /var/log/messages?

There are two things that you could try.  First, try updating your DRM
to current CVS.  Second, try adding 'Option "OldDmaInit" "true"' to the
card's device section in your xorg.conf.
