Thanks for your feedback, I just tested that kernels 2.6.14 and 2.6.15-rc7 
are OK with the OldDmaInit workaround. I wish I could help with the patch, 
but others are better on that. Maybe this should be direct between e.g. the 
Debian package manager and DRI devel, not via me. I'm just trying to 
help. Sorry if I'm intruding...
