Hiya,

Can anyone here please point me to a (hopefull) solution to this issue?

I've just changed the VGA card on my system from a 32MB TNT2 to a 64MB ATI Radeon 7500LE based card from Jetway (rv200le chip, I think)

I re-installed RH7.3 (because I also changed the HD) and it sensed the ATI based card no problems.
Because of the issues I am about to mention, I also upgraded the XFREE86 stuff to 4.2.1 (by first installing the full 4.2.0) - but this problem did not "go away"

The issue is that when I plot vector graphics (from my GIS package) to the screen some of the lines partially disappear (see bad.jpg).
Using the "raw" plotting feature of this package (ie no symbol tables) I get all the lines (see good.jpg).

Could it have something to do with anything I can set in XF86Config?

This "line-dropout" does _not_ occur with the Riva TNT2 card, nor a Matrox G550 I have - all SW & OS versions & settings were the same when I tested the other cards.

Hoping for some pointers to fixing this issue, or logging it as a driver bug (where?)

TIA,
Zoltan.
