On a PII-233 with a 4MB gfx card? Come on get real! I can run battalion, atlantis, and gears at the same time. Psx emulation is fine with some simple games too. But Quake2 is already deadly slow. > I see texture corruption with the tdfx driver (V5 5500) in this "special" case > (dual Athlon MP 1900+). > > There seems to be a bug in the texture management code. There are (were?) -many- issues with textures managment, I fixed some in my code. Have a look if you want. But the major drawback for me is still speed. There is too few memory on my card (I can at most dedicate 512K/640K to tex), so in games with many texs, you have to copy from sys mem continuosously. I dunno if using S3 tex compression, DMA, or asm the things could get better. But until I won't get 15/20 fps on Quake2 running at is lowest res, I wont even dare to run Quake3 together with UT ; ) > Regards, > Dieter Vale, - max lingua ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Caffeinated soap.
