hey,

i have a radeon 7500 and i had loads of lockups with RTCW. i could not
play it at all until i heard about the temporary fix for the AGP/Athlon
mess (i'm still not sure what has come of it). mem=nopentium fixed RTCW
for me. before i could barely get into the game before it would freeze.
now it plays fine (but does freeze very occasionally, so there is still
something wrong). obviously that isn't your problem because you already
have that going option. UT has always been fine for me, although a little
slow running at 1152 in 24bpp. i've turned it down to 16bpp but then
the graphics look worse.
