I dunno, AFR could be done. Assuming the regular rage128 driver can work on
the Fury MAXX, you're halfway there (well, not quite, but anyway). Once you
can find the 2nd (slave) chip's memory map off the AGP bus (I assume there's
also a bridge chip involved since AGP
can only take one video device, AFAIK). Once you know where all the pieces
are, you can
make an AFR driver. Of course, it'd be so much easier if the chip specs were
made accessible (ala Matrox). None of this SDK stuff!
As for the nvidia driver, and its ilk, it's too bad they want to 'support'
Linux with closed-source
drivers. I wish they'd release their old chip designs and have the Open Source
Community have a crack at making a good driver. Oh well, guess it's better
than nothing. But it certainly goes against the ideal that Linux is an OS that
can be easily changed, by using the source. In this case, the source isn't
there...*sigh*.
