Indeed, some aspects of this discussion frustrate me and that showed in my answer. Please accept my apologies for the unwarranted aggressiveness. On an intellectual level, I understand why it’s more important for open-source software to give room to all opinions than to get to a solution as fast as possible, but I’m finding it hard to accept this process when it comes to changes I care about and that should have been done years ago.
