If its dificult to have a use case, may is not a good idea for a Open
Source project trunk.
And if its a "convenience-related proposal", its not a case to change
template tags syntax.

For me,  django template tags are just fine. Less is more in this case.
I see template tags, in some cases,  almost as a "workaround" to do
something very simple and quickly then change my view (for instance),
or create a another view, url or another object_list etc...

And I believe, templates are not made to have any logic inside.
