Scanners and Embossers

Sorry if someone saw this, it keeps bouncing back to me. Gerry any ideas 
why?
HI everyone, I wonder if anyone can give me some recomindations for scanning
books
with the mac. Will a dooplex work with a mac? And witch OCR software could I
use.
I have to scan thousands of pages of books, and need something very fast.
Also has
anyone been able to use the ipal with the Mac?
And on to embossers. Any embossers work with mac? And any translation
software? If
yes, are there any that will do graphics as well as braille?
Any and all help would be grate.
