+1 for putting this into Tomcat 8.0.x as an experimental connector. You won't get a lot of real-world testing on it if you delay until Tomcat 9, but you might get some pioneers who will trust the stability of the rest of Tomcat 8 and might be willing to give a new connector a try -- if even for a short period of time. -chris
