SSLEnabled="true" is required to enable TLS, without it the connector will be plaintext regardless of the rest of the configuration. Please review the documentation for the SSL configuration options, if needed. If you want to discuss SSL configuration, which is a complex topic, please use the user list rather than this BZ. If NIO works for you, use it. You don't seem to be able to provide us items that could allow a fix, so we'll leave the BZ as NEEDINFO for now before closing it eventually.
