I am not in favor of changes to the base classes, and, as usual, will
use my right to complain about individual changes as needed (even in
6.0.x, I would like to be very careful about changes to these classes).
However, there is nothing which justifies a preemptive veto about
extending StandardSession in the clustering session, even in the 5.5.x
branch.
