Thanks Claudio! That did the trick. It seems once again that these development guides need some updating.

Now that I can use xephyr (thanks, Cathy!), I worked my way through "Developing a Basic C/C++ Hildon Application." I got everything working just fine (even though there are a few typos in the text... Does anybody keep these guides updated??) except that I cannot get the Icons to show on the target home screen. I'm wondering if this is the result of using the "killall gconfd-2" command (which is what it takes to get xephyr to show)? I tried downloading and making the code files supplied just in case it was something I was doing wrong manually, but they also don't show on the home screen. I also changed the category "Mobile" to "Graphics" since that is a registered category and "Mobile" isn't. I tried a few other things as well with no result. Does anybody know why the icons won't show? Thanks, Judy _______________________________________________ dev mailing list [email protected] https://www.moblin.org/mailman/listinfo/dev _______________________________________________ dev mailing list [email protected] https://www.moblin.org/mailman/listinfo/dev
