Here is the current status of the package updatesfor the Tizen-Yocto
convergence:
The summary of the package updates can be found in the following
document (in "latest" sheet):

Note that this document has been generated from a script different from
the one used for the previous documents. The scripts we used before
compared source rpm versions so it only contained packages that landed
in the images. The new script compares spec files and recipes versions
so packages that are used to build the images but aren't in the images
are now present. We were missing about 50 packages. Amongst those
packages18 need to be updated to be aligned with the version in Yocto; I
will open tasks in Jira regarding those packages.
This document doesn't contain:
* Packages in Tizen Common/IVI that aren't yet in Tizen Yocto images
* Package updates merged (submitted or not)
Also this document may contain some errors, if you encounter any, please
notify us, it will help us improve the script that generates it.

I remarked that very few maintainers seem to come forward by themselves
to do even the simplest task that is merging and submitting work.
Apparently the only way to get things done is, for each package, to
contact directly a maintainer (and you have to guess which ones are
active amongst many).
In my understanding maintainers are responsible for updating packages.
It's a shame that, when given the work done and tested, no action is done.
Once again (with little hope of reaction) I'm asking maintainers to get
a bit involved in the package updates and have a look at the packages
