Hi all,

Here is a summary of the package updates needed for the Tizen-Yocto alignment.

The spreadsheet that summarize the package updates for the Tizen-Yocto convergence has been updated:
https://docs.google.com/a/open.eurogiciel.org/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiN0rVNGA72PdDhDNjVyeThvX2dkMkFUSEhvNWZKR2c&usp=sharing&pli=1#gid=2
If you see something wrong, please tell us, we will update it (or edit it directly).

All upstream tags have been pushed so it is now easier to test the updates made in sandboxes. Thanks to all the maintainers who helped with this task !

Trying to build all the updated packages in an OBS at the same time makes build errors difficult to correct so I plan on building only a bunch of updated packages at a time in order to validate them. Packages that create issues will be put aside for the moment. Maybe some package updates could be directly merged (packages that are very unlikely to break things such as tzdata, less, grep, sed...).

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Status:

Released: 21
Merged but not submitted: 5
Updated in sandboxes: 73
To update: 5
Total: 104

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Packages that cause issues:

* automake (https://bugs.tizen.org/jira/browse/TC-2003)
Some packages need to be patched in order to build with automake 1.14.1; in most cases a patch is available in Jira and needs to be pushed in Gerrit to be reviewed.

* flex (https://bugs.tizen.org/jira/browse/TC-1817)
A few packages don't build with flex 2.5.39 ("undefined reference to `yylex'").

* readline (https://bugs.tizen.org/jira/browse/TC-1867)
    A few packages seem to fail due to readline 6.3.

* libgcrypt (https://bugs.tizen.org/jira/browse/TC-1924)
libgcr fails in OBS with error: "nothing provides libgcrypt.so.11 needed by libgcr, nothing provides libgcrypt.so.11(GCRYPT_1.2) needed by libgcr"

Other build issues don't show direct link with the package updated in their logs; more investigation will be needed for those.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Any help to update, test and merge those packages is more than welcome.

Best regards,
Kevin
