As I know, Thift is trying to drop the Rust support because no contributor 
worked on the failed Rust CI for a long time. 
They are going drop it in 0.24.0. See 
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/THRIFT-5917
If some rust programers can fix the problems, they may change the dropping plan.

BTW, the Rust Thrift is missing a lot of features such as the TLS support...
