HI Yuan,

Well … I have no issues with them dropping the rust client … I just knew that
we were also using it and that we might care if it goes away.
I would assume, once they drop the rust client, we probably should also drop
our IoTDB rust client, as we won’t be getting any updates on the one we’re
using.

Hi Chris,

It is truly a pity to hear that the Apache Thrift project is considering
dropping its Rust support.

Regarding our side, the IoTDB Rust client hasn't been actively maintained
for quite some time. We also haven't received much feedback or seen high
demand for it within our community recently, so it might be difficult for
us to find someone with the spare cycles and active Rust expertise to help
out at this moment.

However, perhaps the Datafusion community might be a better group to reach
out to? They have many Rust experts who might be able to provide some
assistance.

Best regards,

Yuan
