ASF Incubation Graduation The project aims to graduate from the ASF incubator in May or June. Website checks are complete. The team is now addressing the project maturity model and plans to finalize all preparations within two months to submit the graduation proposal. 2. Release 1.0 Roadmap Target feature freeze on June 1 and an official release on June 15. Major features include global secondary indexes for multi-table delta joins, rescale buckets for log tables, and streaming KV scan. The update also removes three system columns in Iceberg tables for better clarity. Additional capabilities include historical partition support, union reads, multi-location storage, and TLS support. 3. Streaming Lakehouse Roadmap Development prioritizes deletion vector support to enhance query performance on primary key tables, with plans to include this in version 1.0. Schema cleanup will hide internal system columns from consumers. The ecosystem supports Iceberg and Paimon, with ongoing integration for Spark and Starrocks. Performance benchmarking will focus on improving union read latency and tying mechanisms. 4. Release Planning Version 0.9 voting is nearly complete, with an official announcement scheduled for next Monday. A 0.9.1 patch release will follow in April to fix security vulnerabilities. Multi-language clients for Rust, Python, and C++ are nearly ready, with documentation complete and a target release by next month. 5. Ecosystem and Community Lance storage format support requires further gap analysis as primary key tables and union reads are currently limited. To improve knowledge retention and traceability, the team recommends migrating important discussions from Slack to mailing lists. Mehul was welcomed as a new PPNC member during the call. Best, Jark Wu
