Upayavira,

Thanks for the push in the right direction. I had a <cr><lf> problem
with tools/bin/ant.bat and other batch files. I converted the files
from Unix format to Windows format and the build progresses, with the
output included at the end of the note. Now I get a build directory,
but when I try to run "cocoon servlet", it complains that there's no
webapp directory under the build directory. There's also no WAR file
generated.

I'm going to keep poking, but I wanted to give you an update.

Thanks for the update. Do keep poking. And if patches come out of it, let us know and we can fix it for the benefit of other users.

Regards, Upayavira

Thanks,
John

Greetings,

I've downloaded cocoon 2.1.3 onto a Windows 98 box running JDK
1.4.1_06. When I try to run build.bat, I get the following result:

C:\cocoon-2.1.3>build
Using Java from c:\java\j2sdk1.4.1_06
OFF

I get the same results with JDK 1.4.2_03:

C:\cocoon-2.1.3>build
Using Java from C:\java\j2sdk1.4.2_03
OFF

The lines print immediately and I'm back at the DOS prompt. No

webapps

directory is generated.

Has anyone experienced this? I've redownloaded and unzipped cocoon.
I've rebooted the PC. I removed Ant from my path environment

variable.

I cleared the ANT_HOME environment variable. None of these changes
helped. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks,
John

Can you edit the build.bat file, and remove the @echo off line from
the beginning. Then rerun it, and tell us what happens.

Regards, Upayavira
