Hi,
My understanding from previous postings on this list is that the CKA_ALWAYS_AUTHENTICATE + CKU_CONTEXT_SPECIFIC features of PKCS #11 are not supported in NSS. Is this likely to be implemented in the near future?
Actually, that's not the case. There is at least code in NSS that is supposed to handle CKA_ALWAYS_AUTHENTICATE. That isn't to say every application can handle suddenly being prompted for a password for a private key (Servers, for instance, are likely to barf), but the support should be in, at least in relatively modern version of NSS.

bob

Bob, I think it is not supported at all, at least as far as I know. The support had to be added in bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357025 (in its first stage), that has to be assigned to me, but I have stopped working on that in the past due to some other more important stuff in my area. If there is anyone free to take that bug, please do so.
