Is this likely to be implemented in the near > future? Actually, that's not the case. There is at least code in NSS that is supposed to handle CKA_ALWAYS_AUTHENTICATE. That isn't to say every application can handle suddenly being prompted for a password for a private key (Servers, for instance, are likely to barf), but the support should be in, at least in relatively modern version of NSS.
