A fair point. My comment was based on the fact that Comodo isn't currently issuing DV certs under the ECC root, and there's no firm schedule for when they might do so. However you are correct that Comodo reserves the right to do so under the scope of the existing CPS, and Rob and Robin have stated that Comodo will expand the use of this root at some point.
